The Suite Life on Deck

All good things run their course. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody lives on in a new production. This is the Suite Life on Deck. London Tipton is still present. However Maddie, played by Ashley Tisdale, is suspiciously absent. Sure she makes some guest appearances. But she is no longer a regular on the show. She has been replaced by another actress.

I don't even know the name of the other actress. You can probably tell that I no longer watch the Suite Life any more. Even though the main characters in the show were a pair of twin boyts, Brenda Song and Ashley Tisdale really stole the show.

Hotel Heiress

In the Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Brenda Song plays London Tipton. She is the heiress to the Tipton hotel fortune. Here is a funny fact. Initially her character was supposed to be named Paris. But it later got changed to London.

You can see why a rich and dumb hotel heiress would map to the real life Paris Hilton. Perhaps Disney did not want any trouble from the Hilton family or team of lawyers. Regardless, the parallels are quite interesting.

We Like Short Shorts

There is a bit of controversy in Brenda Song's past. However this is not her fault. Some jokers used her image without her persmission in an adverstisement for an escort service. The ad portrayed her as a "Hawaiin beauty." However Brenda is actually a mix of Chinese and Thai.

Luckily Brenda's attorney filed suit against the advertising firm. She needs to protect her reputation, as she primarily works for the Disney Corporation. They have been unsubstantiated reports that Brenda won the lawsuit. I have also heard that they settled early this year.

Wendy Wu

Brenda Song studied tae kwon do as a child. She achieved a black belt in this form of martial arts. That helped her land the lead role in the Disney movie Wendy Wu. She was actually supposed to play another role in the movie. However when they discovered her kung fu skills, it was a no brainer to choose Brenda to play Wendy.

By the time Brenda starred in the movie, she had already been a part of the Suite Life of Zack and Cody. In case you did not know, she plays heiress London Tipton on that show. More on that later.
