Brenda Song studied tae kwon do as a child. She achieved a black belt in this form of martial arts. That helped her land the lead role in the Disney movie Wendy Wu. She was actually supposed to play another role in the movie. However when they discovered her kung fu skills, it was a no brainer to choose Brenda to play Wendy.By the time Brenda starred in the movie, she had already been a part of the Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
